Vlog

I could not post the video last night for some reason. It would not let me for some reason so i will post the script.

I am talking about The Book Thief. We read the book in lit class. It is about a girl in Nazi Germany in 1942. She is not Jewish but dose a lot of things that will get her killed. I liked the book, but I think I would have liked it better if we didn’t read it in class. So I could go at my own pace and not have to read it twice. That is one thing that I would have to read twice to prepare for the test. So that took some of the fun of reading the book out. One on the reasons why I liked it was that it kept you interested the entire time. If it got boring, it would only be for a chapter or two. When we did it for lit class, it was much easier to prepare for the discussion then TKAM. In TKAM there were only so many points you could bring up, because it was not nearly as action filled as The Book Thief. So I found it easier to prepare for the discussion because so much more would happen in the chapter then in To Kill a Mockingbird.

The Angel Factory (summary)

In Terence Blacker's book, The Angel Factory, Thomas Wisdom, the main character, stumbles upon a factory for angels. He had always thought that his family was strange, when he dug deeper he found out that his family is angels sent to save humanity. They ask him to join their cause but he is hesitant at first. When he finds out more about their cause he realizes it isn't what it seems.

The Angel Factory

It is amazing how Thomas goes from fitting in so well, to being totally different. He fit in at school, hr had a perfect family, every thing was normal and he fit in. Then finding out that his parents are angels, he is adopted, and even his dog is an angel. He goes from being so normal to so different that he doesn't even fit in with his dog.

The Angel Factory

I am confused why he would try to track down his mom. I guess to hold on to the files for him, but walking up to person you have never met before, telling them your adopted parents are angel's and to hold on to the files of proof you have on them. I would not believe that if someone walked up to me.

The Angel Factory

Thomas seems to be a little mixed up. Not just from finding out his parents are angels, but socially. He seems like an incredibly preppy person. he has a perfect family, does very well in school, and his parents are angels. But then he hangs out with his friend Grip. Grip does not have good parents, hes awkward, really long hair. They seem like they are total opposites.

My book trailer

The Angel Factory (first few chapters)

So far i dont like Grip. Grip is Thomas's best friend. Thomas's parents disprove of Grip. If one of my friends started rooting around in my dads office, i would not just stand there. But so far the book is ok. Because it explains that their family is perfect, they look very good and are what you would imagine an angel to look like. So judging on the title they are probably angel's.

The Dagger Quick (part 2)

I feel like this book REALLY needs a sequel. I believe it is coming out at the end of this summer. The book just left off and did not really finish. Although it is an amazing book, I think he could have added a little bit more to the story line. A little more adventure maybe while looking for the treasure. They also did not answer/ confirm a lot of theories/ questions the main character had. So it really is in desperate need for a sequel.
